General information is automatically collected when you visit our website. This information is of general nature (Server-Log files) and contains e.g. browser type, used operating system, domain name of your Internet service provider and similar information. This information does not allow unmasking of your identity. This information is necessary for technical reasons so that content you request from a web page is correctly transmitted and is required for the use of the Internet. We use statistical analyses of anonymous information of this kind to optimise our website and the supporting technical platform.
Like many other website, we also use so-called “Cookies”. Cookies are little text files that are transmitted from a web server to your hard disc. We automatically receive certain data such as e.g. IP address, used browser, operating system and your connection to the Internet from these cookies.
Cookies cannot be used to start programmes or to transmit viruses on a computer. The information contained in cookies allows us to support you in navigating our website and facilitate correct display of our web pages.
In no case do we disclose collected data to third parties or create links to personal data without your consent.
Registration on our website
When you register for the use of personalised services, some personal data is collected, such as name, address, contact and communication data like telephone number and e-mail address. When you are registered with us, you can access content and services that we only offer to registered users. Registered users also have the option to change or erase data they provided with the registration, if necessary. And of course, we will provide you with information at any time on your personal data we have stored on our servers. We will gladly correct or erase your personal data at your request unless such erasure conflicts with statutory retention obligations. If you wish to contact us, please use the contact details at the end of this privacy statement.
Provision of chargeable services
We will ask you to provide us with additional information for the provision of chargeable services, such as e.g. payment details.
We use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) for HTTPS data transmission to protect the security of your data.
When you subscribe for our newsletter, your entered data is exclusively used for this purpose. Subscribers may also be informed via e-mail on circumstances that are relevant to the service or the registration (for example change of the newsletter offering or technical information).
We need a valid e-mail address for an effective registration. To check if a registration is made by the owner of an e-mail address we employ the “double-opt-in” procedure. For this purpose, we log the newsletter subscription, the sending of a confirmation e-mail and the receipt of the requested response. Additional data is not collected. This data is exclusively used for newsletter distribution and not disclosed to third parties.
You may revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data and its use for the newsletter distribution at any time. Each newsletter contains the respective link for this purpose. In addition, you may unsubscribe at any time directly on this website or communicate your corresponding request via the contact details provided at the end of these data protection notes.
Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (Google). Google Analytics uses so-called "Cookies", which are text files stored on your computer that allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. As IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address from within the member states of the European Union or other members of the European Economic Area will be abbreviated. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage for the website operator. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
Additionally or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent Google Analytics tracking by clicking on this link. An opt-out cookie is then stored on your device. This prevents the collection of data by Google Analytics within this site and for this browser in the future as long as the cookie remains in your browser.
Use of Adobe Analytics (Omniture)
Use of script libraries (Google Webfonts)
To display our content correct and graphically sound across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries on this website, such as e.g. Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google Webfonts are transmitted to your browser’s cache to avoid multiple loading of fonts. If your browser does not support Google Webfonts or blocks access, content is displayed in a standard font.
Calling of script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library’s operator. In this case it is theoretically possible - however, it is currently vague if and if so for which purposes - that operators of such libraries may collect data.
The data protection guideline of the library operator Google can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en
Use of Adobe Typekit
We use Adobe Typekit for the visual design of our website. Typekit is a service of Adobe Systems Software Ireland Ltd. that provides us with access to a typeface library. To integrate our typefaces your browser must establish a connection to an Adobe server in the USA and download the required typeface for our website. Within the scope of this procedure, Adobe receives the information that our website was accessed by your IP address. Additional information on Adobe Typekit can be found in the Adobe data protection notes. You may download them here: www.adobe.com/privacy/typekit.html
Use of Google Maps
Detailed instructions on the administration of your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.
Embedded YouTube Videos
On some web pages we embed Youtube videos. The operator of the respective plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the Youtube servers is established. Within the scope of this procedure Youtube receives information on the pages you visit. If you are logged-in with your Youtube account, Youtube can match your web-browsing behaviour with your personal data. You can prevent this by logging-off from your Youtube account.
A user, who has deactivated storage of cookies for the Google Ad programme, can watch Youtube videos without such cookies being stored. However, Youtube also stores usage information that is not person-related in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block storage of cookies in your browser.
You can find additional information on “Youtube” data protection in the service provider’s data protection statement at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=de
Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you click on a Google Ad and you arrive on our website, Google Adwords will set a cookie on your computer. The Conversion-Tracking cookie is set, when a user clicks on an ad inserted by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for the identification of an individual. If a user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not expired, we and Google can identify that the user clicked on the ad and was forwarded to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Accordingly, cookies cannot be traced via the websites of AdWords customers. Information that is generated with the support of the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers that opted for conversion tracking. Customers are informed of the total number of users that clicked on their ad and which were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. AdWords customers do, however, not receive any information based on which user can be individually identified.
If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can reject to the setting of the required cookie - e.g. via a browser setting that generally deactivates automatic setting of cookies or by configuring your browser such that cookies from the “googleleadservices.com” domain are blocked.
Please note that you may not erase Opt-out-Cookies, as long as you do not want that measuring data is recorded. If you erased all cookies in your browser, you must set the respective Opt-out-Cookie anew.
Use of Google Remarketing
This website uses the Remarketing Function of Google Inc. The purpose of this function is to present interest-related ads to web page visitors within the scope of the Google advertising network. A so-called cookie is stored in the web page visitor’s browser, by which a visitor can be recognized if such user accesses web pages that belong to Google’s advertising network. On these pages ads can be presented to visitors that relate to content that the visitor previously accessed on web pages that use the Remarketing Function of Google.
